The Széchenyi Spa and Swimming Pool, nicknamed "Szecska", is the largest spa complex in Budapest and Europe, and not to be missed when visiting Budapest. Comprising 21 indoor and outdoor locations and 10 saunas, the spa complex is one of the largest spas in Europe.

The history of thermal bathing began with the Roman settlers who built the first spas in Aquincum. An important milestone in the history of spas was the 16th century when Turkish baths were introduced to Budapest by the Turkish conquerors. Over the last 200 years, the popularity of spas has continued to grow, with the beneficial effects of the thermal waters attracting hundreds of thousands of people to thermal baths all over Hungary.

The Széchenyi Thermal Baths, a magnificent jewel of Budapest, was designed by Győző Czigler, who began construction in 1909. As a contrast to its imposing walls, the spa welcomes thousands of young people on Saturday evenings, who can enjoy the pleasures of the thermal waters, special visual effects, and electronic music rhythms all at the same time, within its centuries-old walls.

If you are in Budapest, don't miss the Szecska experience! Relax and recharge with the warmth of the natural thermal waters!
